PKG5
TRANSPONDER KEY BYPASS FOR GM PASSKEY III BYPASS SELECT GM VEHICLES - The PKG5 is a specific firmware version for transponder bypass modules used primarily to override GM Passkey 3 immobilizer systems. This firmware allows for a "no key required" installation, meaning you do not need to leave a physical spare key inside the vehicle to enable remote starting - Purpose: Overrides the factory OEM transponder immobilizer via the vehicle's data bus to allow for remote engine starting.
Key Feature: Unlike universal bypass modules that require a spare key or chip to be placed inside a box near the ignition, the PKG5 firmware handles the override electronically.
Compatibility: Designed for GM Platform #06 vehicles using the Passkey 3 system - Connection: Ensure the module is properly wired; the LED should turn ON.
Ignition: Turn the vehicle key to the IGNITION position. The LED will flash 4 times to indicate successful communication.
Completion: Turn the key to the OFF position. The module is now programmed and ready for useV- 2006–2007 Lucerne
