Monolithic Television Vertical Deflection Output System IC, containing a complete internal driver, flyback generator, and high-drive power stage to directly modulate color CRT deflection yoke coils. It handles deep vertical scanning deflection currents from stable linear supplies, housed in a specialized 9-pin through-hole plastic single in-line power package (SIL-9) equipped with an integrated metal cooling tab. Manufactured by Philips Semiconductor.
