Remote Control Receiver Circuit manufactured by Motorola. This highly niche, legacy NMOS integrated circuit was engineered to operate hand-in-hand with custom CMOS remote transmission chips (such as the MC14422) to form a complete wireless command system. It functions by continuously listening to incoming multiplexed digital or ultrasonic pulse streams, decoding the remote sensor transitions through an on-chip logic array, and latching the appropriate binary control lines to toggle external consumer electronic relays. It saw localized deployment during the late 1970s and early 1980s inside high-end domestic television chassis, early ultrasonic garage door opener receivers, and industrial remote master-switch control boards. (Industry Equals: Motorola MC6525P, Motorola MC6525, Motorola MC6526, Eurotechnique MC6525, Thomson MC6525). [1, 2]
