Quadruple 2-Input Positive-OR Gate manufactured by NXP Semiconductors (and widely cross-licensed by Texas Instruments, Toshiba, or onsemi). Housed in a standardized 14-pin small outline footprint, this fundamental 7400-series high-speed CMOS device houses four standalone, independent two-input inclusive-OR gate modules within a single integrated circuit substrate. It functions by driving a logical high output whenever at least one of its two corresponding input pins registers a high voltage state, executing instantaneous boolean logic summing operations with extreme sub-nanosecond hardware propagation delays. It was ubiquitously implemented as a core address-decoding logic block in 8-bit microcomputers, an expansion-card select gate, a multi-source interrupt request (IRQ) consolidation line, and a master logic handshake buffer in factory automation layouts. (Industry Equals: NXP 74HC32D, Texas Instruments SN74HC32D, Toshiba TC74HC32AD, onsemi MC74HC32AD, STMicroelectronics M74HC32M1R, Fairchild MM74HC32M).
