Dual Retriggerable/Resettable Monostable Multivibrator manufactured by Motorola (onsemi). This high-performance CMOS timing circuit houses two entirely independent pulse generators that trigger on either positive-going or negative-going edge transitions. It functions by initiating a highly uniform digital output pulse whose exact duration is locked to an attached external resistor and capacitor network, allowing continuous retriggering loops to extend the output pulse or instant resets via a dedicated active-low pin. It was universally deployed as a missing-pulse detector, a mechanical button debouncer, an automotive ignition delay module, and a radar range gating controller.
